A Journey from Spain to England, Pausing in Reims

Of Spanish parents and married to an Englishman, PGUS draws inspiration from these diverse cultures, colors, and stories. Yet one of her greatest sources of inspiration remains her puebloPajares de Adaja.
Nestled in the heart of Spain, in the province of Ávila, this village is surrounded by fields, pine forests, sunflowers, a gentle river, and ever-changing light. A true haven of peace. Represented through a variety of styles, techniques, and perspectives, this village breathes life into her creativity, reminding her each summer of the freedom and deep breath of calm she finds there.

PGUS lives in Reims, a city known for its grand Gothic cathedral and its history as the coronation site of French kings. The architecture of churches and cathedrals — their lines, vaults, heights, and the light pouring through stained glass — has always moved her deeply.

At the heart of her art is her family, her constant, unconditional support. She draws endless emotion, tenderness, and inspiration from the joyful intimacy of her family life.

Nature, for PGUS, is an endless source of beauty and renewal. Be it a leaf, a solitary tree, flowers, bark, or seashells — everything is worth capturing. A reminder of the essential simplicity of true things.
